She was inspired to share the message about how effortless it then was to continue benefitting from much reduced bills, so nextGenergy was born!

Shirley is passionate about renewable technologies & energy-saving in such an achievable, effortless way. Her interest originated as a teenager visiting the Centre of Alternative Technology. She attended an Energy Efficiency workshop in 1996 when employed by Diageo & used Energy-Saving as a training session topic when undertaking a 6-month Training of Trainers programme. Her husband, George, has been employed in the sector for 15 years working with batteries & management systems for electric vehicles so her learning has been developing. She gave up a career in HR, had solar pv installed, then promoted the benefits to neighbours, friends & relatives, selling 8 systems before she had even set up nextGenergy. Local family business, RB Grant Electrical Contractors, discovered Shirley - winning business through her recommendations - she is now delighted to have RB Grant Electrical Installers as nextGenergy's preferred installer, and is backed by their team of more than 50 electricians installing all across Scotland.
