Dabbrook was originally founded in 1979 by Mr Stuart Smith. In 2008 the company was acquired by leading Navigation Aid company Tideland Signal, which over the years became the main nav-aid systems design and manufacturing facility for the EMEA region. 2016 unfortunately saw the closure of Tidelands Great Yarmouth facility following some major acquisitions and global restructuring. Dabbrook Engineering continues on today under a new management team of some previous Dabbrook employees, but with the main focus reverted back to Renewable Energy & Offshore Systems. Over the past 30 years the name "Dabbrook" has been well known for providing complex electrical and mechanical engineering solutions, gaining extensive experience in the main business activities detailed below. Renewable Energy Dabbrook have been extremely active in renewable energy systems for over 20 years. Previous work has included stand alone and grid connected photovoltaic (PV) systems, small wind turbine systems and hydrogen fuel cells. Our work now includes stand-alone systems which are designed to provide electrical power to equipment located in areas which do not have a mains electrical supply. Offshore Equipment Dabbrook can provide system design, assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning of systems for use on oil and gas installations where hazardous gas environments are present. Services & Support Dabbrook can provide fully trained and certified engineers qualified for both onshore and offshore work. Equipment serviced includes Aids to navigation control systems, PV systems, PLC programming, wind turbines and other electro-mechanical work.
